Croydon Branch Celebrating 50 years.   1956 - 2006

About the Branch

The Croydon Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society was founded in November 1957 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2006. Croydon was the forty second Branch to be formed. There are now over 360 Branches nationwide.

Croydon Branch is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom have MS themselves or have a family member with MS.

The aim of the Branch is To organise self help groups To provide Respite Care and Welfare support for members and their families, both practical and emotional.

To provide information about all aspects of MS.

To organise Social Events and Outings To raise funds for the above and also for research

To represent the concerns of the society at a local level and to increase public awareness.

The branch has two vehicles which is uses to bring members to Branch Events and welcomes volunteer drivers to help.

The Branch is managed by a Committee elected by the membership.
